The Sustainable Business of the Year award recognises a business that has demonstrated outstanding commitment to environmental sustainability, social responsibility, and ethical governance. This category honours businesses that integrate sustainability into their core operations and have implemented measurable, impactful initiatives to reduce their environmental footprint, contribute to their community, and foster long-term resilience.
ELIGIBILITY
Open to businesses of all sizes and industries.
Must have been operational for at least 12 months.
Must demonstrate measurable efforts toward environmental, social, or governance (ESG) sustainability.
The initiatives must have been active during the past 12–18 months.
Judging Criteria
Entries will be judged on the business’s ability to:
Incorporate sustainability into its mission and strategy.
Deliver tangible environmental or social impact.
Demonstrate leadership and innovation in sustainability practices.
Engage stakeholders and the community in sustainable initiatives.
QUALITATIVE CRITERIA
Strategy & Vision: Clear sustainability strategy aligned with the business’s long-term goals.
Initiatives: Description of environmental or social initiatives implemented and their relevance to the industry.
Leadership: Evidence of leadership’s role in championing sustainability.
Cultural Integration: How sustainability is embedded into company culture and operations.
Stakeholder Engagement: Involvement of employees, clients, or community in sustainability practices.
